Lithia Park Walk Coordinator and Volunteer Tom Foster

Tom Foster
Longtime Ashlander and APRC volunteer Tom Foster has been leading Lithia Park nature walks since 1989, when he helped initiate the nature walk program. He takes satisfaction in showing locals and tourists the wildlife, plants and history of Lithia Park. ďItís our central park, itís just a great place for a lot of different pursuits. A quiet walk or picnic, itís a park which is important to people for many, I guess you could say, personal reasons,Ē Foster said.
  • Number of walks since 1989: 1,996
  • Number of people who have participated in the walks since 1989: 22,985
The figures above were last updated on January 21, 2020, with the conclusion of the 2019 (31st) season. Numbers continue to grow each year! Unfortunately, due to the wildfire smoke we have endured in Southern Oregon the past few years, many of the guided walks had to be canceled. Due to COVID-19 the entire 2020 season has been canceled.
