On January 27, 2015, the Mayor and City Council held the first annual State of the City celebration at the Community Center. The celebration started by highlighting just a few of the accomplishments of the Ashland community in 2014. Those were:
This is certainly not a comprehensive list of all the accomplishments of the Ashland community, but does reflect a little of what makes this town great.

And finally, the 2015 Ragland Award was presented to this year's three co-winners; Charlotte Dorsey and Alice Nagel, for their work with St. Vincent de Paul, and Tom Foster, for his work organizing and leading the Lithia Park walks.
