Youth Conservation Corps will not be taking place during the summer of 2021. There are lots of other ways to get involved and earn academic community service! For a list of current opportunities please visit www.ashland.or.us/volunteer or contact Volunteer Coordinator, Sulaiman Shelton at 541.552.2264 or email.
Each year APRC offers an opportunity for the youth of the Rogue Valley to participate in restoration and riparian work in Ashland parks and trails during our summer Youth Conservation Corps (YCC).
Incoming 8th through 12th graders will spend a week in June or July performing a variety of parks and trails maintenance tasks including invasive species removal, trail chipping, hand watering newly planted native species and shoring up well-used hiking trails.
Earn Academic Community Service Hours
After successfully completing the program, participants will earn 25 hours of academic community service per session plus recreation passes to the Daniel Meyer Memorial Pool and the Ashland Rotary Centennial Ice Rink.
To apply you must submit both an application and youth waiver for each participant.
