City of Ashland, Oregon / Police / Volunteer Programs

Volunteer Program

We are fortunate to have approximately 29 volunteers for the Ashland Police Dept.  These dedicated folks donate their time and energy for the citizens of Ashland and the many tourists who come here each year.

Some of the tasks they perform each day are:

  • Downtown Foot Patrol
  • Crossing Guards for Schools
  • Bike Path Patrol
  • Vacation House Watch
  • Mail Courier
  • District Atty/Medford Courier
  • Inter-Office Mail Courier
  • Radar Reader Board
  • 4th of July Parade, Parade of Lights and Halloween Parade

This energetic group of volunteers has been so successful that several police departments in Oregon and California have used this program as a blue print for similar programs in their communities.

If you are interested in serving your community along side this dynamic group please contact Frank d'Entremont, 1155 E Main Street, Ashland, OR 97520, or phone him for more information.  He can be reached Monday through Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 12:00. His phone number is 541-552-2121.
