Survivor, author and advocate Dawn Schiller will speak about her journey with the wonderland murders, including her first-hand account as a 15 year old groomed by a perpetrator who maniplulated her by using drugs and alcohol. Information will be provided on how to identify young victims in trouble and how the use of drugs can manipulate and trap a victim. Dawn's story was portrayed by Kate Bosworth in the 2003 movie Wonderland.
Dawn Schiller will be available for a book signing following the event. Join us prior to Dawn's presentation at 6:00 PM in the Recital Hall lobby for refreshments and information from Jackson County community groups that assist sexual assault survivors.
