The Ashland Parks & Recreation Department is overseen by a five-member elected Parks Commission. The goal of the Parks Commission is to provide and promote recreational opportunities and to preserve and maintain public lands.
The Parks & Recreation Commission has the power to adopt by-laws, rules and regulations for the proper conduct of public recreation in the City. The Commission coordinates recreational facilities now within the City, or hereafter to be constructed or created. The Commission shall have the power to conduct any form of recreation or cultural activity that will employ the leisure time of the people of Ashland and vicinity in a constructive and wholesome manner. Please remember that other than staff, the people listed below are volunteers working on behalf of our community and should only be contacted on matters related to their particular commission, committee or board.
Commission Meetings take place the 4th Monday of every month, 7:00 pm at the Council Chambers, 1175 E Main Street. The meetings are broadcast live on RVTV, Channel 9.
