Fourth of July Run
Ashland Parks & Recreation will present the 38th Annual 4th of July Run on Friday, July 4, 2014. This event is a fundraiser for the Ashland and Phoenix High School cross country teams. Two routes are offered: a 10K run (6.2-mile) and the traditional 2-mile run/walk. Both races start at 7:45 a.m. The Start/Finish line is near the Ashland Library, 410 Siskiyou Blvd, corner of 3rd St and Gresham St. The routes are scenic and on closed roadways. A section of the 10K route is along the tree-lined Bear Creek Greenway.
Congratulations to Maya Nerenberg!
She is the winner of the first annual 4th of July Run logo contest. Thank you Maya!
NEW this year… both races will be chip-timed! Following the race, an awards ceremony will take place at noon at the Ashland Public Library, near the Start/Finish line. All age group winners will receive a gift; all finishers will receive a ribbon at the Finish Line! (Must be present to win.)
If you would like a t-shirt this year, the cost is only $10/shirt. Shirts must be ordered by June 13, 2014. See our Register page to find out how to get yours!
