RE: CITIZENS' BUDGET COMMITTEE
December 17, 2002 Council Meeting

There are two positions on the Citizens' Budget Committee that expire December 31, 2002. They are:

· James Moore, Jr. (1st appointed 1/97) Requests reappointment to December 31, 2005.

· David Williams (1st appointed 12/97) Requests reappointment to December 31, 2005.

Replies were received as follows in response to the advertisement in the Ashland Daily Tidings, the city's Web site and the notice board in City Hall.

· Steve Hauck, 1261 Siskiyou BIvd, 488-1623

· Allen Douma, M.D., 83 Granite Street, 488-8877

In addition, Diana Goodwin Shavey has recently resigned from the committee that leaves a vacancy for a term to expire December 31, 2004.

Council members were previously provided copies of the responses to be given the opportunity to meet or talk with interested applicants if they chose to do so. Please make your selection at the December 17, 2002 council meeting as follows:

Appoint or reappoint two members for terms to expire December 31, 2005; and Appoint one member for a term to expire December 31, 2004.
