East Main Property Improvement Project - Public Meeting

Public Meeting for the East Main Property Improvement Project - August 18, 2021

Ashland Parks and Recreation Commission (APRC) is in the design phase for a new park in yourEast Main Property neighborhood, at the 2280 East Main Property. This 5.52-acre open space was purchased in 2018 from the Shaffer family, a long-time Ashland family who acquired the property in the 1960s. In 2021 an additional 1.0-acre contiguous to the 5.52 parcel at 2290 E Main St was purchased, bringing the total acreage of the park to 6.52. This project will offer the citizens of Ashland a park on the south end of town.

A public input session will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 6 to 8 p.m. The APRC and staff will discuss design elements, a project timeline and neighborhood impacts.

The session will take place virtually in the form of a webinar. Pre-registration is required in advance. Complete information and registration link at ashland.or.us/EastMainProperty. Questions may be directed to Tara Kiewel, APRC Administrative Analyst, at tara.kiewel@ashland.or.us or call 541.552.2257.
