The City of Ashland is working on a project to understand and address the community's housing needs. As part of this process, the City is interested in hearing from Ashland's residents so that more effective and widely accepted solutions can be created. Due to limitations on public gatherings, the City is presenting information about Ashland's housing market, how it has changed, and how it will continue to evolve, through an online ‘virtual’ open house. Additionally, the virtual open house also includes a series of questions allowing participants to provide input on their housing preferences and on potential strategies to address Ashland's unmet housing needs. The Virtual Open House will run from April 1st through April 16th, 2021.

This virtual open house is part of a larger project that the City is completing. The project is called a Housing Capacity Analysis and it looks at whether Ashland has enough land to meet new residents' housing needs over a 20-year period (2021 to 2041). This study will look at what housing types are needed to meet the needs of residents at all income levels. Information about the Housing Capacity Analysis and public meeting announcements can be found online at www.ashland.or.us/HCA2021.
