Local Road and Street Safety Presentation

Mojie Takallou Ph.D., P.E. from the University of Portland, recently provided the City of Ashland’s Transportation Commission a presentation on traffic, road and street safety. The presentation focused on the types, causes and costs of traffic crashes and the importance of Engineering, Enforcement, Education and Emergency Medical Services in resolving crashes. Topics covered details on the proper use of traffic control devices, traffic calming techniques, pedestrian and bicycle safety improvements and speed management.
