Controlled Burn Planned Today, January 11th for Quail Run Road Above Talent

Controlled Burn this Afternoon Above Talent
Today, the Ashland Forest Resiliency Partners will manage a smaller controlled burn off Quail Run Road in Talent. The controlled burn is located above Talent Avenue west of Ashland. There could be some smoke around areas neighboring Quail Run Road. This week, crews with Lomakatsi Restoration Project and Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest will continue working on additional projects as weather permits including along Quail Run Road.

Potential Smoke Impact

  • Smoke will be visible from Talent Avenue and from Interstate 5.
  • Smoke could impact areas close to the burn off Quail Run Road (from Rapp Ln to Belmont St).
  • Please close windows and doors if you are close to the burn location and see smokewiseashland.org for tips on how to reduce smoke exposure.
