The City of Ashland is launching a zero emission vehicle incentive program. The program provides utility incentive funding for 120 zero emission vehicles, including 70 battery electric vehicles and 50 electric bicycles. The program is aimed at increasing equitable access to zero emission vehicles, reducing carbon emissions, and supporting the City’s commitment to transportation electrification. Funding for this program is made possible through Ashland Electric and Bonneville Environmental Foundation.
The incentive program is open to Ashland Electric utility users with an active account. The electric bicycle program provides customers with a $300 rebate towards the purchase of an eligible e-bike. They must be purchased at a participating Ashland retail bike shop. Utility customers can also apply for a $1,500 rebate for the registration of a qualifying new or used battery electric vehicle. Eligibility conditions apply; see websites below. The program is set to run from November 2020 – November 2021.
An information session will be held on December 2nd at 1:30pm for interested utility customers. Please use the following details to join via Zoom:
