Stay Connect on Wildfire Updates

Ashland is not currently under threat of the Almeda Fire. Because it is an ongoing situation please refer to the following ways to stay updated:
 
• Text and Voice Alerts
Nixle Alert – Ashland utilizes Nixle for emergency and general alerts. Sign up by texting 97520 to 888777 or by going to ashland.or.us/nixle. If you do not have a cell phone that can text or cannot access the internet at this time, please call (541) 488-6002 to sign up for voice alerts. We will be providing emergency and general updates through Nixle as well as the City of Ashland website (ashland.or.us) and main social media pages @CityofAshlandOregon on Facebook and @cityofashland on Twitter. 
 
Citizen Alert – Jackson County utilizes the Citizen Alert system for evacuation notices. You can sign up with your address for these alerts. This is alert system is only for evacuation notices and will not send general fire updates. 
 
• General Fire and Recovery Updates:
Jackson County Emergency Management – The website jacksoncountyor.org/emergency/ and Facebook page @jacksoncountyoregonem are giving regular updates on wildfires in the Rogue Valley. A live evacuation map, shelter information, and general fire status are updated here. 

Rogue Valley Emergency Management – This includes emergency updates and fire status for both Jackson and Josephine Counties. Go to www.rvem.org/ for more information. 

Ashland Emergency Broadcast Station – Tune into 1700 AM for updates on the wildfire

Wildfire Information Hotline – Call (541) 552-2490 for updates on the wildfire.
