Request for Proposals for Cleaning the Shower Trailer
The City of Ashland and Options for Helping Residents of Ashland are partnering to reopen the shower portion of the Laundry Shower Trailer (LST) to address the urgent need for showers among the unhoused population. The Laundry Shower Trailer has not been available due to the need for increased safety precautions and enhanced cleaning and sanitation protocols which include additional measures to address the potential for transmission of COVID-19. To alleviate this issue the City and OHRA are issuing a request for proposals to provide cleaning services for the shower portion of the Laundry Shower Trailer during and after operations.
Proposals must at a minimum:
Be from licensed and bonded owner operators or professional cleaning services that meet the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s definition of micro enterprise. (A micro enterprise is defined as a commercial enterprise that has five or fewer employees, one or more of whom owns the enterprise.)
Include the cost for materials and specified products to meet the best practices guidance provided and include the cost for any personal protective equipment necessary to safely complete the work.
Be able to provide proof of liability insurance upon request.
Proposals must be submitted by Wednesday, May 6, 2020 by 3:00 PM.
