The Ashland Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) expands its capabilities thanks to grant funding through the Department of Homeland Security in partnership with Jackson County Fire District 5. Grant funding assisted the agency in purchasing a Conex Box to store emergency response supplies needed by CERT volunteers when disaster strikes. The Conex Box will be placed at JCFD5 Station 1 for local volunteer use.
Ashland CERT is a Citizen Corps program incorporating more than 200 active volunteers locally ready to respond to disasters and assist the community in recovery efforts.
