Ashland Celebrates Sister City Anniversary with Guanajuato, Mexico
On Monday, April 8 at 5 p.m. the City of Ashland Mayor and Councilors will be officially commemorating the 50th year Sister City Anniversary with Guanajuato, Mexico. The event will take place in the Council Chambers where the Mayor will read a proclamation declaring April 8, 2019 as Guanajuato Day and welcoming Presidente Municipal de Guanajuato Alejandro Navarro Saldaņa and Regidoras Karen Burstein and Virginia Hernandez.
The City of Ashland is excited to welcome visitors from Guanajuato for a week long celebration organized by the Ashland Chamber of Commerce, Southern Oregon University, the Amigo Club, and the City of Ashland.
Members of the media and the public are welcome to attend this event.
