Three Controlled Burns Planned for Tuesday, March 5th: Ashland Loop Road, Wagner Creek Road and Timberlake Drive
Ashland Forest Resiliency Partners will manage three controlled burns on Tuesday, March 5th.
A controlled burn to consume piles will impact Forest Service Road 2060 (Ashland Loop Road) above Reeder Reservoir and the surrounding area. The Ashland Loop Road passes through the area that will be burned. We recommend finding alternative trails in Lithia Park, Siskiyou Mountain Park and on the east side of the watershed off Tolman Creek Road.
A second controlled burn is planned off Wagner Creek Road between Ashland and Talent. Smoke will be visible from Highway 99 and Interstate 5.
A third pile burn is south of Ashland off Timberlake Drive. Smoke is not expected to impact roads or trails. Smoke will be visible from Interstate 5 and on the south side of Ashland.
