Empower EV Incentive Supports Electric Vehicles in Ashland

A new pilot program from the City of Ashland is making it easier for residents to drive electric. For most drivers, the Empower EV incentive will pay for low-carbon, electric fuel for a year.

Ashland Electric Utility customers can apply for up to $300 for qualifying new or used electric vehicles or plug-in hybrid electric vehicles. Local business owners can apply for a $500 incentive to install a workplace charger.

For details on eligibility and qualifying equipment please visit: www.ashland.or.us/EmpowerEV.

City of Ashland is expanding infrastructure and support for electric vehicles as part of its Climate and Energy Action Plan, which aims to reduce Ashland’s contribution to global carbon pollution and prepare the city for climate change impacts.

Ashland’s Climate Vision for 2050 is to be a resilient community that has zero net greenhouse gas emissions, embraces equity, protects healthy ecosystems, and creates opportunities for future generations.
