Burn on Upper Strawberry Lane Thursday and Friday

With the recent and anticipated rain, a small controlled burn on 8 acres will take place Thursday and Friday this week on upper Strawberry Lane above Ashland. A crew from Lomakatsi Restoration will be actively cutting and burning in the hills above the city limits for wildfire safety and restoration. We don’t expect smoke to impact town, though hikers in the Hitt Road area and homes on upper Strawberry, Birdsong, and Westwood streets may smell light smoke today.
