This Week: Forest Restoration Crews are Working off Hitt Road
Forest restoration crews are out working on property surrounding the Hitt Road trail this week. Hikers and bikers should be ready for brief trail closures. Please slow down on the lower section of the trail above the city. Vehicles will be on the lowest section of Hitt Road just above the water tank, so be extra careful in this area. Thinning small trees is critical for fire protection on the edge of town and just above homes. The project is funded by the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board.
