Tour of Ashland Forest Resiliency Controlled Burn Area

Please Join Ashland Forest Resiliency Partners on a Tour
The Ashland Forest Resiliency partners are working to return fire to the landscape after 100 years of fire suppression. An important part of the controlled burn program is education and outreach to the community.

Recently, the Ashland Forest Resiliency Stewardship Project (AFR) conducted a controlled burn with unintended scorch of the tree canopy. Partners invite the public to tour burns on the No Candies Trail to learn why we conduct burns, more about the anatomy of a controlled burn and the many factors professional teams measure plus see the variety of fire effects.
