APRC Employee Receives Conservation Award

Longtime Ashland Parks & Recreation Commission employee and current Interim Parks Superintendent Jeffrey McFarland received a conservation award last weekend from the Southern Oregon Land Conservancy (SOLC). Jeffrey was honored for his lifetime contributions to conservation in the Southern Oregon region. The award was presented at the Annual SOLC picnic and member meeting on Saturday, June 3, at the Rogue River Preserve, a 352-acre property along the Rogue River. SOLC works cooperatively with landowners and communities to conserve special places (such as the Rogue River Preserve) today and into the future.
