Climate and Energy Action Plan – Final Open House December 7, 2016
The Climate and Energy Action Plan ad-hoc Committee, City staff and the consultant project team are presenting the third and final scheduled public open house on December 7, 2016, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on the SOU campus in the Rogue River Room of the Stevenson Union. This open house is being held to update the community on the status of the project, and to encourage and solicit feedback on the recently released draft plan.
The draft plan represents the culmination of a year-long process of engagement, input, and review from the public, key community stakeholders, City staff, and the Mayor-appointed ad-hoc committee. The plan presents a coordinated set of goals and strategies to guide City and community action for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and preparing the community for local impacts from climate change.
The event will include a panel presentation by committee members, the consultant and City staff. Committee members will also be available for one-on-one and small group discussions about the plan, the process, the goals, strategies and actions.
The draft plan is available to view in advance at www.ashland.or.us/draftCEAP
. An online survey and project background information is also available at www.ashland.or.us/climateplan
for those that are not able to attend.
