Hosler Dam and Emergency Phone Notification Siren Testing: Monday, October 10th at 12 Noon
The City of Ashland tests the Hosler Dam warning sirens quarterly to ensure they are working properly. It also tests the Citizen Alert mass-notification system (Reverse 9-1-1) annually every October. The next test will be held Monday, October 10, 2016 at 12:00 PM (noon). The sirens at 100% of their full power will sound for fifteen seconds followed by the announcement: "This is a test of the Hosler Dam warning system.  This is only a test."  The sirens will then sound again for fifteen additional seconds.

The sirens are found at the following locations:
  • Bowmer Theatre - Downtown Plaza Area
  • Parks Department - Upper end of Granite Street in Lithia Park
  • The Dog Park - Oak Street near the Wastewater Treatment Plant
  • Dutch Bros. - 1910 Highway 99 across from Butler Ford

Questions can be directed to the Ashland Public Works Department at 541 488-5587 or smeenkp@ashland.or.us.
