The City of Ashland tests the Hosler Dam warning sirens quarterly to ensure they are working properly. The next test will be held Monday, July 11, 2016 at 12:00 PM (noon). The sirens at 100% of their full power will sound for fifteen seconds followed by the announcement: "This is a test of the Hosler Dam warning system. This is only a test." The sirens will then sound again for fifteen additional seconds.
The sirens are found at the following locations:
- Bowmer Theatre - Downtown Plaza Area
- Parks Department - Upper end of Granite Street in Lithia Park
- The Dog Park - Oak Street near the Wastewater Treatment Plant
- Dutch Bros. - 1910 Highway 99 across from Butler Ford
