All storm related outages on Sunday were caused by tree branches either breaking and landing on the power lines or bending into the power lines due to the heavy wet snow. There was one large outage affecting approximately 200 homes, which lasted from about 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. In addition, twelve individual residences around town experienced tree and snow related outages. All power was restored to those homes by 4:30 p.m. The electric department routinely budgets an amount for non-routine emergency activities such as storm damage.
