Trains in Ashland

The City has been informed by CORP (Central Oregon Pacific Railroad) that trains will start running through Ashland in late October with intermittent train traffic. Eventually they will run two trains per day, one in the early morning and one in the early afternoon.

CORP intends to post flyers at all railroad crossings, run advertisements in local papers, and provide information to local television stations.

The City has requested that the Rail Division of the Oregon Department of Transportation in conjunction with CORP if possible, conduct a community informational meeting in Ashland.
When additional information becomes available it will be posted on the City’s website.

CORP asks that we help promote Operation Lifesaver, an educational website for rail safety.
