The crew continues to work the complex underground feeder from the Ashland substation. No root cause has been identified at this time. The department is adding additional lineman to the crew and will continue to work diligently to identify the root cause of the outage and restore the power as soon as possible. However, at this time, there is no estimated time when the power will be restored.

There is an outage affecting one of the feeders from the Ashland Substation (feeder A2000). The Department has a crew in the field and they are patrolling the feeder to determine the cause of the outage. As soon as the cause has been determined, the crew will begin repair and restoration. There is no estimate at this time when the power will be restored.

City of Ashland Electric Department is investigating a power outage that began about 4:15pm today. At this time the known areas impacted are the downtown core and surrounding neighborhoods. It is likely other areas in town are also without power. Electric crews are in the field attempting to identify the source of the problem and to remedy it. Due to the heat, those with health issues may need to seek assistance or move to a known place that has power until power is restore to their property. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. City crews will continue their efforts until the problem is corrected.
