Opening Celebration at Ashland Creek Park

The Ashland Parks & Recreation Commission (APRC) cordially invites you to attend the opening celebration of Ashland Creek Park! Ashland Creek Park is centrally located in Ashland at 27 E Hersey, between Oak and Helman streets. Previously an undeveloped seven-acre parcel purchased from the Vogel family in 2001, the newly developed park will feature:
  • Redesigned community gardens
  • Children’s playground
  • Multi-use playing field lawn
  • ADA-accessible trails
  • Bicycle parking
  • Restrooms
The celebration will take place on Wednesday, May 20, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  Enjoy a FREE BBQ with the Ashland Lions Club, live music from The Brothers Reed, community garden tours led by community garden members, self-guided walks on the creek-side loop, sidewalk art and seed planting for kids.
During the celebration, parking will be available at Ashland Christian Fellowship, across from Ashland Creek Park.
Partial funding for the development of Ashland Creek Park was provided through a grant from Oregon Parks and Recreation. The Ashland Lions Club recently adopted the park through APRC’s “Volunteer in Parks” program.
