Re:   Upcoming Educational Opportunities for Members of the Community

 
The Ashland Police Department is pleased to offer a free class to members of the community. The class is called “Reduce Identity Theft with Prevention Tips.”
 
This class is open to all members of the community and is free. Through this class the students will gain insight on how they can help protect themselves against identity theft. Topics will include:
           
            -How to protect you identity
            -How does the criminal get your identity
            -Protection against Telemarketers
            -How to get a free credit report from all three credit reporting agencies
            -Info on governmental websites to assist with protecting yourself
            -What is RFID and how does it work
            -What to do if your identity is stolen
            -and more useful information
 
There will be two sessions of this class and each is expected to last approximately 1 ˝-2 hours. The classes will be held at The Grove. Attendees are asked to call and reserve a spot to ensure we don’t have to turn anyone away at the door. Please call the Ashland Police to make a reservation at 541-482-5211.  If there is substantial interest more classes will be scheduled.
 
Times: March 27, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. and at 6:00 p.m.
 
Location: The Grove, 1195 East Main St, across the parking lot from the Ashland Police Department
