AFR Project Controlled Burn January 16th

Controlled burning of brush piles to reduce fire danger will take place Friday, January 16th above Four Corners in the vicinity of the Missing Links trail. Please avoid the upper end of Missing Links for the day. Smoke may be visible from town, though this is not very likely due to the distance between the burn and town and forecasted rain and clouds. Ashland Forest Resiliency is a partnership between the City of Ashland, the U.S. Forest Service, Lomakatsi Restoration Project and The Nature Conservancy. Hikers and bike riders are encouraged to avoid the Missing Links area tomorrow. This is one of several burn projects to come as air quality conditions allow. Information regarding burning is also recorded on the City of Ashland Smoke and Wildfire Hotline at 541-552-2490 and at www.ashlandwatershed.org
