Attempted Murder APD Case 14-2881,Press Release

Attempted Murder
 
 
On November 3, 2014 at approximately 9:31 p.m. officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Quincy Street for a report of a stabbing.  Suspect Benjamin Williamson, came home to his house and found a man in the home.  This man, (the victim) was known by Benjamin’s wife and had been let into the home by her earlier in the evening and was visiting.  Williamson is suspected of stabbing the victim several times before leaving his residence and calling 911 to report himself.  Williamson waited for police to arrive and turned himself in.  Benjamin Williamson was subsequently arrested for Attempted Murder, Assault I and Assault II.    The 34 year old victim was transported to Rogue Regional Medical Center with serious injuries from multiple stab wounds.  At this time, his condition is stable.  Williamson was lodged in the Jackson County Jail.
 
Ashland Police detectives are continuing the investigation.
