Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the TAP Project
The City of Ashland invites the community to a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, September 11 at 4:30 p.m. The event will occur at the new pump station, located near the address of 2253 Rogue Valley Highway 99 N. between Lithia Springs Resort and Town and County Chevrolet.
The TAP (Talent, Ashland, and Phoenix) pipeline will deliver potable water to the City of Ashland during emergency situations.
Initially planned for construction in 2015, it became apparent early this spring that the water source may be needed earlier due to drought conditions. The two-year planned project was fast tracked; completed in six months and finished under budget.
Ashland City Council members, the Ashland Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors and city staff will be on hand for the ceremony. This free event is open to the public.
