Ashland 2014 Drought
On Tuesday, August 12 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Ashland residents and businesses are invited to attend a community meeting about drought conditions.
The City of Ashland, in conjunction with Southern Oregon University, the Ashland Chamber of Commerce and Katalyst, Inc., will review the drought conditions and the water outlook for the rest of the summer. The purpose of the community meeting is to:
- increase public awareness of the seriousness of Ashland's water situation,
- encourage and engage Ashland citizens and businesses in water conservation efforts and
- inform the community about the existing water conservation resources available through city programs.
Representatives from the City and local agencies including the Talent Irrigation District, the Water Resources Department, the Rogue Valley Council of Governments, and the Jackson Soil and Water Conservation District will participate.
