Daniel Meyer Pool will Open in June

The pool season is almost here… the Daniel Meyer Pool will reopen on June 12 with Open Lap Swim at 11 a.m., Open Swim at 1 p.m. and Swim Lesson Registration at 3:30 p.m. Check out all of our swim programs and view the calendar for the 2014 season at
Two sessions for swim lessons will be offered this summer. Session A will run Tuesday through Friday, July 8 through July 18 (registration opens June 12 and ends July 2); Session B will run Tuesday through Friday, July 29 through August 8 (registration opens July 7 and ends July 25).  For class schedules and more information please visit Please remember, swim level testing is required and free for all new swim lesson participants.  Swim lesson testing is held Tuesday through Friday, June 17 through July 2 and Monday through Thursday, July 21 through July 24 from 5:30 to 6 p.m.
If you can’t make it to a tropical islands this summer, then come and join us for “Island Night: An Aloha State of Mind,” on Saturday, July 19, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Daniel Meyer Pool!  We will have Hawaiian music and dancing and fun activities for all ages!  A free community Hula dance workshop will be offered for anyone wanting to learn the beautiful moves of Hawaiian dance. 
Did you know that Ashland Parks & Recreation sells pool punch cards for Lap Swim, Open Swim and Youth Water Polo? The price for punch cards ranges from $30 to $55. Buy a pool punch card early, from now through June 12! This offer is only available online at The punch cards will be available for pick up at the Daniel Meyer Pool on or after June 12.
Daniel Meyer Pool is a division of Ashland Parks & Recreation. The pool is an outdoor facility located in Hunter Park at 1705 Homes Ave and will be open through September, 6, 2014. The pool offers Starfish Aquatics Institute (SAI)® swim lessons, private lessons, swim team camps, and Starguard® lifeguard certification.
