The City of Ashland is conducting a study of parking and circulation issues in downtown.
The City of Ashland contracted with the University of Oregonís Community Planning Workshop to analyze a number of issues identified in the 2001 Downtown Plan and 2012 Transportation System Plan. The project includes completing a parking occupancy and inventory study, researching progressive parking management case studies from around the country and discussing potential bike and pedestrian improvements.
Community members, downtown employees and downtown business owners all play a vital role in visiting and parking downtown, therefore the survey included questions relating to perceptions of downtown use. The survey was distributed through the Chamber of Commerce and the Cityís website from January 31, 2014 through February 13, 2014.
