Daniel Meyer Pool Closed Due to Smoke

The Daniel Meyer Pool will be closed today, Thursday, August 1, due to air quality conditions caused by smoke. Additional cancelations include afternoon and evening swim lessons, the noon time and evening lap swim sessions, and all water aerobics classes.
The Daniel Meyer Pool will open with a regular schedule at 7:00 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, August 2. At that time, staff will evaluate, on an hour-by-hour basis, whether to continue operations. Should the pool need to close for afternoon and evening swim lessons on Friday due to smoke, a decision will be made by 2:00 p.m.
Free swim passes will be issued to each swim lesson participant, with passes distributed at the next regularly scheduled swim class. Staff is exploring additional reimbursement options.
Ashland Parks and Recreation apologizes for any inconvenience caused by pool closures.
For more information, please contact pool staff directly at 541-488-0313 or call Ashland Parks and Recreation at 541-488-5340.
