Jeffrey McFarland of Ashland Parks & Recreation has been selected as one of ten national winners for the 2012 Firewise Photo Contest. The winners will be featured in the 2013 National Firewise Communities Calendar, which will highlight Firewise plants from around the country. (This photo is the Oregon State Flower, the Oregon Grape, and was taken at the North Mountain Park Nature Center. The Nature Center is a division of Ashland Parks & Recreation.)
And, it just keeps getting better… most recently, Jeff has been selected as one of the top 30 finalist in Outdoor Photographer’s 3rd Annual Great Outdoors Photo Contest! His picture of the lower pond in Lithia Park, entitled Fall Reflection, was one of 9,645 submissions! You can see his photo and vote at www.outdoorphotographer.com/contests. Way to go Jeff!
