Mayor Stromberg created this ad hoc committee consisting of three Councilors and two Park Commissioners to examine short-term and long-term Park funding issues in greater depth.
The Scope of Work is as follows:
The ad hoc Parks Funding Committee is charged with assisting the City Council and the Parks Commission by examining short- and long-term parks funding issues in greater depth. Strategies and recommendations developed by the committee shall be reported back to a joint meeting of the City Council and Parks Commission at a date to be determined.
The committee shall, in the course of its work:
Provide ample opportunity for public input;
Consult with the city attorney to ensure its recommendations are compliant with Oregon law; and
Present its recommendations in writing so they can be easily shared with the public.
